INTRODUCTION TO THE UNIT

Do you play with water pistols in summer? Do you know how they work?

These toys have 4 parts:

• body

• trigger

• reservoir

• pump

They use air pressure! Look...

When you pull the trigger, the pump pushes air

into the reservoir, where the water is. There, the air

is compressed and there is more pressure on the water.

RESULT: a biiiiiiiig jet of water!
